## In plain language

A 2021 statement from the US Preventive Services Task Force advising screening for gestational diabetes in pregnant people without symptoms at 24 weeks of pregnancy or after. For testing before 24 weeks it says the evidence is not enough to judge benefits and harms.

## Technical summary

USPSTF recommendation statement, JAMA 2021, volume 326, issue 6 (PubMed issue date 2021-08-10). A B recommendation for screening at 24 weeks or after and an I statement before 24 weeks, recorded as claims on the glucose test page. PubMed links an erratum (PMID 34609473, Incorrect Value in Table) whose text was not read. Whether a later edition exists was not checked. The guideline's source is the USPSTF final recommendation statement page, which gives the statement date that the recommendation decisions use; the JAMA statement stays cited in the claims.
